From the Andean city of El Hoyo you can visit different natural attractions that will delight you with its unique beauty of Patagonia. Here are some of the most interesting places to discover.

Puerto Patriada. This port is located at the northwest end of Lake Epuyén 13 km from the town of El Hoyo. To get there we must go a gravel mountain road between towering Andean-Patagonian forests and the many fields involved in the production of fine fruits, vegetables and animal husbandry.

Extensive sandy beaches, calm waters, clear and navigable without engine make Puerto Patriada the ideal place for water sports, fishing, hiking and relaxing in a paradisiac place.

Waterfall of Corbata creek. Just 2 kilometers from the center is an impressive waterfall of 85 meters high. You can reach it by a steep sections of trail that passes through cypress, coihues and radales forests immersed in a variety of flora and fauna. During the 40 minute walk with medium difficulty you can appreciate an average view of the valley with its many farms and crops.

El Desemboque. Epuyén river empties into the lake Puelo about 15 km from the center of El Hoyo. To access the lakeshore must be passed by Raúl Solari Park, a site of great ecological value created with the aim of protecting native forests of Pitras and Myrtles. The first form a "pitral" over 200 years old and are home to araucarian pigeons, frogs and toads, while the latter are characteristic for its reddish tan trunks.

This site is ideal for hiking in the woods giving an orange tint to the beautiful sandy beaches. There are also areas suitable for fishing and other water activities.

Epuyen river. Born in the south shore of Lake Epuyén, runs 35 km through the valley of Epuyén and El Hoyo, flows into Lake Puelo and is one of the main channels of supply. Sport fishing and kayaking are ideal for developing on its banks, and spend the day camping and cool in hot summers.
