Other rivers and lakes in paradise See map

The Chimehuin river is not the only offering perfect conditions for fishing. In fact, Junín de los Andes is located in a privileged location a few kilometers from Lanín National Park and surrounded by lakes where trouts are common.

Malleo River, for example, 22 km from Junín and Provincial Route 23, it is also characterized by the large number of catches made ​​by fly fishermen, especially with light equipment. Further, around 65 km from Junín, it is the lake Tromen, which offers a good place to catch the rare brook trout.

Lakes Huechulafquen and Epulafquen are ideal for capturing large brown trouts, rainbow trouts, landlocked salmon in the form of trawling.

By Provincial Route 61 you access to Lake Paimún which offers good fishing.

Taking theNational Route 234 and splicing with the Provincial Route 62, you meet the lakes  Curruhué Chico, Curruhué Grande and Lagoon Verde, being the latter two excellent fishing for brook trout and landlocked salmon.

Those who fish in these places will also have the gift of sight of the imposing Lanín volcano, for anywhere in the area they go.
