The Provincial Pasture Fistival is held every year in April in the town of Las Lajas to honor the man from the country dedicated to the feed activity.

alfalfaThe main agricultural activity of Las Lajas is the fodder, mainly the production of alfalfa.

The fodder is the main agricultural activity conducted in the area due to the excellent quality of pastures, particularly of alfalfa. The main producers are the Villa Rural San Demetrio, the Colonia Juan Ignacio Alsina. For this reason every year to perform this celebration that brings together producers, stockbreeders, stallholders and communities of the region.

The festival takes place at the Aladino Campos property and is organized by the gaucho group "El Pegual". It is a good opportunity to enjoy camper activities as rodeo skills in addition to the fairs with local foods and local handicrafts and folklore shows at night.
