The "kayakers meeting" propose the adventure of navigate the Lake Nahuel Huapi in a noncompetitive event, full of color, nature, camaraderie and sport in San Carlos de Bariloche.
Paddlers on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi.It takes place over 4 days in February and has a maximum capacity of 100 paddlers, including those who are invited from all parts of Argentina and Chile. To this experience will be added some cutting skills formats recreational, by team or sprint, etc.
The event begins with a welcome dinner for all competitors and then develops an eskimo-roll, rescue and self rescue clinic with images on a giant screen in "El Viejo W Camping" on Lake Gutiérrez.
In relation to safety, security operations are scheduled with four more vessels of Coast Guard support. In addition, three employees are prepared as part of the Navigator Organization, from containment and safety.
Boats can be: single, double and triple preferably with rudder. They must have watertight/storage, bilge water equipment (sponge, jar, hand pump, etc.), waterproof bags for clothing, tents, sleeping bags, whistle, neoprene shirt, raincoat, cubrecopit, life, bungee with hook for towing (2 meters), and mittens, hats, sunscreen as the participant like.
In this view you can see the crystalline waters of the Lake Nahuel Huapi.Since the 2007 edition there is also perform the "Environmental Embrace", a formation in a caravan around the island Centinela (where there is the tomb of the Perito Moreno) as a message on the issue of global warming.
The meeting is an opportunity for exchange of experience, for what is asked to participants to propose a theme or exhibition in a space of time during one afternoon (no more than 20 minutes). Suggested topics: living on a cruise, a technical/sport talk, achievements and prospects of kayaking in the area, manufacturing, etc.
