The Banff Mountain Film Festival is a film festival in which films are related to mountains and extreme sports. With these features one of the best places to host this Festival is the city of Bariloche that meets most of the scenes of the movie.

The World Tour Banff Mountain Film Festival, began as a film festival in a small town called Banff in the state of Alberta, Canada. It began in 1976 when about 450 people gathered to watch 10 movies.

From there on its call was on the rise, while the festival now attracts an audience of about 8 thousand people who come to see the projection of more than 250 films coming from all over the world.
In 2001 was the first came to Argentina of the festival and the following year it was incorporated the "Third Night" at the National Film Festival of Adventure and Nature, which exhibits the most outstanding productions of our country.
