For this excursion is necessary to cross the lake to the Grande Peninsula, hiring a service directly. Ask in the information center of the city.

From the pier in front of the village, cross the lake (about 3,500 meters). From the boat is usually spot the Virgin Cave, carved into the rock formation of the elements where they grow lots of ferns and has placed the image of a virgin.

It landed on the peninsula Grande, from where the upward trend in the northwest to a forest of cypress and radales. At about 2500 meters you will reach a pass that allows to observe the lake Traful to the west and northeast the descent to the Laguna Blanca 800 meters. It surrounds part of the lake and then continue the climb to a small rock from which is displayed east the Laguna Verde.

Going down is through a plain that exposes glacial action in the form of alluvial fan. It borders the north of the Laguna Verde, striking the tone of its waters, and about 1200 meters, crossing the Verde creek leads to a rocky overhang where there are a large concentration of rock paintings.

The return is taking up the path until you reach a fork on the left that descends and forms a circuit to reach back to the bay.

The area of the lakes is beautiful for picnics or short outings. Camping is also authorized by the rangers. Importantly, this appeal falls within a protected area, so before departure must announce it to the ranger.
