Punta Loma: Natural Reserve See map

The Punta Loma Fauna Reserve, with its sea lion colony, is located 17 kilometers from the town of Puerto Madryn. To get there take the Brown Boulevard southeast to reach the Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia. Once there comes the gravel road, Provincial Route 1, leading to the seal colony.

Its most significant biological value is the colony of seals of a hair and the colony of South American terns, being also possible sighting other marine birds as terrestrial reptiles and mammals.

Do not forget that the reserve of Punta Loma can be visited throughout the year, taking into account times of low tide, as it has the presence of animals throughout the year and you travel through trails.

Once the loop ends you can start back to Madryn by pathways that line the coast, discovering the beaches of El Pozo, Paraná, Punta Este and Kaiser.
