Many are the attractions in Catriel. From natural beauty, viewpoints to works performed by the man that immerse ourselves in nature in its pure state to rest with great tranquility in the Patagonia.

One of the main attractions of the town of Catriel is the Valley of the Moon that is near the Colorado River. This site is distinguished by its uniqueness, diversity and natural potential, since it is a semi-desert landscape where wind and water have carved on the relief different ways around it.

The Valley is located 1.5 km from the city, passing through Avenue Roque Sáenz Peña and then by the Farms section. Once there, you can see the different geological strata of the earth, dating back 100 million years ago.

Another tourist spot is the Ceferino Lookout, 2.5 km from the city on National Route 151. There is located on the wall the Ceferino Namuncurá Chapel, a place where thousands of faithful gather every August 26 to renew their faith, love and devotion to the "little Blessed Indian". There is also a monument in place of 5 meters tall in commemoration of Ceferino, from which you get a panoramic view of the town.

Both the San Martín square as the Family Walk are ideal places to relax in the evenings and enjoy the fresh air with your family, friends and good mates. They are meeting places for residents and tourists as well as sites involved in sociocultural activities.

In the center of the square is the city shield, a water fountain and lush tree line, all immersed in an architectural aesthetic that respects the prevailing landscape features. The "Family Walk" is located at the intersection of Avenues San Martin and Roca.

Catriel is a wonderful place for those who like sports and adventure, thus there it can be practiced in the highlands mountain biking, motorcross, ATVs and horseback riding. All proposals must-see that offer rides around the place looking at the crossed of Colorado River, the vegetation and the plateaus that make the valley.

Finally, Lake Casa de Piedra, 55 km from Catriel is another unique attraction that invites tourists and locals to spend a pleasant stay on the lake and to practice sports. To get there take the National Route 151 for 17 km to the entrance of Medanito Reservoir, and from there make 38 km to the entrance to the lake.

Fishing, camping, trekking, mountain biking, scenic observation, boating, sailing and swimming are some of the options presented at the time to enjoy the lake. On the site there are facilities for camping, barbecues, tables, benches, lighting and mains water, toilets, a hall and play area, all for an enjoyable stay. In addition, in the building of the Home Primary School N° 149 "José Gabino Rojas", which ran from 1971 to 1992, is a grocery and a lodge with a capacity of 60 seats.
