The city of San Antonio Oeste helds every October a competition that brings together local and from the Patagonia fishermen, eager to conquer good specimens of silverside.

This is the fishing tournament "The 6 Hours of Silverside" that is held annually at the Club Nautico of San Antonio. Hundreds of participants are recorded every year in search of being able to fish beautiful specimens of silvreside for one of the cash prizes that are given.

The 2011 edition took place on Sunday October 2 with a large delivery of $5,000 for first prize and a good roast to finish. The card value was $140 and includes registration and barbecue.
