This museum, led by Rodolfo Coria, is the spearhead for very important researches of international level at sites such as Las Cortaderas and Auca Mahuida.

It lacks of spectacular multimedia, but instead to its credit there are some of the most interesting fossil that provides us modern paleontology.

It also has the impressive remains of Argentinosaurus Huinculensis, the world's largest dinosaur and a huge life-size reproduction of the skeleton of Giganoto Carolini, the largest known carnivore.
